We recently learned about measuring in centimeters. We combined our art and math skills for this project. The students each drew and painted a bunny. Then each part of the bunny was measured in centimeters. These turned out so cute and added some spring colors to our classroom!
The holidays are such a magical time with young children! On Friday afternoon we enjoyed making a holiday craft while we listened to holiday music. These reindeer turned out so cute!
Last week we read the book "Crankenstein" by Samantha Berger. This funny book takes us through all of the things that makes the main character cranky, like waiting in line for a ride, when it's too cold on Halloween, and when it's time to wake up. We made our own Crankensteins, and we're currently working on writing our own little books about what turns us into Crankensteins!
This week we finished up our super star art project. We started with a doodle star and added them to watercolor backgrounds. They turned out so unique like each of our 2nd grade super stars.
